This digital converter is ideal for capturing analog video into FireWire-equipped notebook and desktop computers. The unit is compact, easy to use and there are no drivers to install. The converter performs hardware compression to ensure that you don’t lose video frames during capture and to minimize the video footprint on your hard drive. Our converter includes a power supply, which is needed for most laptop computers with a 4-pin FireWire port. The unit does not require a power supply when used with a 6-pin DV cable.
