Recording video in low light is a challenging task, especially when trying to achieve higher frame rates.
At 1000fps the LS Plus camera can only absorb light for a maximum of one millisecond. The FT-FAT90 at 90fps comparatively can have a shutter speed up to eleven milliseconds. That means that faster frame rates are going to result in darker images in low light scenarios.
The narrow light beam concentrates the light on the finish line. FT-Bright illuminates a runner 40 feet away with 780 Lux. This is 8-10 times brighter when compared to most work flood lights.
FT-Bright is an LED light that mounts to your existing FlashTiming Camera Stand. Compared to standard shop lights which spread the light over a wide area, FT-Bright focuses light in a narrow 15 degree beam angle. So, all of the light is concentrated around the finish line, making it easier to identify your athletes.
